Led by the Deputy Nursery Manager, qualified staff, lovingly care for 12 children from birth-2 years in a warm, homely environment. This environment aims to stimulate babies and toddlers through appropriate toys and encourage them through their first stages of development within a happy and calm atmosphere. Each baby’s needs are individually catered for within their routines. We ask that you provide us with details of your child’s routine on the first day they attend and keep us updated of any changes.
Outdoor play
A separate, secure outdoor play area is reached from the playroom. Babies can explore the outdoor environment in safety, learn to crawl and walk on the grassed area. This area is divided from the other play areas by small wooden fencing, maintaining the safety of the youngest children.

Within this room there are facilities for the children to experience water, sand and messy play to encourage creative skills. There are resources to develop fine motor skills, chances for role play and a quiet corner for rest and relaxation. Each toddler’s needs are individually catered for within the routine of the room; if your child’s routine differs from ours please inform a member of staff and we will try to accommodate this.
Led by a Team Leader, qualified staff, care for 20 inquisitive children aged 2½-3+ years. The environment is designed to improve social skills and stimulate learning. Within this room there are facilities for the children to experience water, sand, painting and collage work. Messy play encourages creative skills. Various types of construction toys and jigsaws improve fine, manipulative skills. A corner for stories and books provides a tranquil area. The Home Corner with dressing-up, hats, etc is enhanced regularly. A computer is available with programs suitable for the age range. Each child’s needs are individually catered for within the routine of the room, if your child’s routine is different please inform a member of staff and we will accommodate this.
Led by the Nursery Manager, qualified staff care for up to 32 children aged 3-5 years ready to learn in a more structured environment. This prepares them for the transition to school. Emphasis is on improving social, independence and early writing skills. These children will be joined by children up to 8 years old after school and during the school holidays. All work is planned to relate to The Early Years’ Foundation Stage, Every Child Matters. All activities are adapted to each child’s ability to ensure continuous progress. Within this room there are facilities for the children to experience enhanced water, sand, painting and collage work. Messy play, e.g. finger painting, bubble painting, etc encourages creative skills. Free choice is available for all mark-making materials, e.g. crayons, pencils, etc. Smaller construction toys and graded jigsaws improve fine, manipulative skills. A corner for stories and books provides a tranquil area. A themed Home Corner provides role play opportunities. A computer is available with programs suitable for the age range. Each child’s needs are individually catered for within the routine of the room. o
Three secure outdoor areas are available for children 2 years plus, with various resources for them to explore. Daily activities are planned for to extend children’s learning and development. Children are encouraged to take part in outdoor activities throughout each session.
