The early year's foundation stage sets the standard that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop and are kept healthy and safe. It promotes teaching & learning to ensure children’s school readiness and gives children the broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundation for good future progress through school and life. We observe children as they interact in everyday activities along with key information from parents.  We consider all observations when making assessments on individual children, to help identify where the child may be in their own development pathway. Practitioners plan activities relating to the child's individual assessments to ensure this strengthens their learning and development.
